Crafty time with friends....

I have been struggling to 'create' for a long time now.  Blogging has become less and less, as has time in my craft room.  For the last two Wednesdays I have spent a couple of hours with some friends, crafting and teaching them a few techniques along the way.  I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Last night we made tiny plaques using the Sizzix die as the base and decorating them in our individual styles. I made the three shown here as inspiration.  The one above is a bit 'cute' for me but I made the effort to try to inspire every taste.

We used paints, inks, stains, texture paste, wax rubs, stamps, die cuts, etc etc.

I loved the fact that everyone did there own thing and ended up with 'unique' pieces rather than all being duplicates.
The previous week we decorated MDF tags, again with the theme of Christmas.  We painted them using gesso and acrylics, added stamped images and some die cuts.  I dug a few of my old stamps out.  The Hero Arts Mother and Child is one of my favourites.

My crat room is all packed away now for a month or so when I will start more creative projects.  I know I won't ever get into it 'big time' again but a couple of hours a week will just do me!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all
