AT LAST.....I have had a few hours to myself in my craftroom, and I enjoyed every minute!
I have been wanting to find time to use my new Crafty Individuals stamps since I received them at the beginning of last month, but we are flat out with the house. Today however found me 'free' as we are a day early in prep for having some carpets fitted, so I took time out to create.
I made a mini acetate book suitable for Mother's Day using my new stamps, which are just so feminine and vintage looking..............I LOVE THEM! In the little envelope above I added a teabag!
I used doyleys on acetate and then backed the acetate with two sided papers, wrapping an inch or so around the front of each page. I was inspired by an idea I saw of a book made by the packaging from Prima Flowers, but as I didn't have any, adapted some plain acetate and made my own.
I added a variety of lace to each page to add interest...
and used liquid pearls, self adhesive pearls and flowers to pretty the book up a bit.
I coloured the stamped images in very lightly and randomly with Distress Inks to give an aged look.
and left the back of each page empty to add photo's.
These are the stamps I used....aren't they just soooooooooooo gorgeous?
I used up a spare piece of acetate on this card. The background was created using a cuttlebug embossing folder, inked with Distressing inks and the heart and butterfly are die cuts.
Finally I made a tag using the new CI perfume plate, it's just yummy!
I made a couple of 'perfume bottles and added detail with gems and textured paints,
finishing them off with a label. I love the way these labels can be easily distressed....oh, the number of the plate is CI-341 and the words were taken from CI-148, 'Florodora'
Finally here's Paul and I with the 2 'loves of our lives'. Josh and Heath. It seems odd to think that Heath was actually due tomorrow and was almost 3 weeks early. Gina has had such a rough time and is still not able to do everything but is getting stronger by the day. Steve has just one day left before he goes back to work so I will be going in to help with Heath. I am looking forward to some special time with my new Grandson and of course Gina.
BUNGALOW UPDATE.....................
Tomorrow we will be getting some carpets fitted, WOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I just can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
