My daily 'chores' seem to be mounting up so much that I have had to think about prioritising. I now go into school daily, just on a casual basis, helping with the nursery children over the lunchtime period. I am organising and creating the stationery for both of my daughters weddings. I am in the middle of a digital camera/photography course which involves weekly assignments and producing a portfolio. I have a few classes to teach over the next few weeks. I have a project to get ready for Craft Stamper Magazine............... so my poor old blogging time is suffering.
I had started the Calendar Journal Challenge, hosted by Kate Crane
http://thekathrynwheel.blogspot.com/ but decided to let her know I was struggling to keep up. She was very understanding, (thanks Kate).
I have a Suzi Blu course on the back burner, which I decided not to even look at starting until I have more time.
I also have my family which keeps me busy, especially little Josh, and I wouldn't have that any other way.
Anyway, as I haven't created anything for a while, I thought I'd cheat and dug out a couple of my 'golden oldies' to tide me over. Here's my 'serendipity frame' from a few years ago. It was always a favourite in the shop. Made using scraps of paper, torn and stuck with diuted PVA around the MDF frame, then simply mounting tiny tiles inside the recess, this is such a simple little project, perfect for using up all the off cuts, but so effective. In fact I might do another one soon, when I get breathing space, lol.
And here's a finished piece from my City and Guilds in Mixed Media and Design, way back in 2001. The individual tiles were decorated with lots of techniques and mediums, then sandwhiched between two sheets of thick clear perspex, the bottom on which had been painted and sponged, and held together with four screws. The design inspiration for the finished piece was found on a £20 note! I just loved this course, it really gave me the confidence to mix mediums and try different techniques.
Anyway, sorry I have nothing new to show you, but before I sign out, I want to just say a massive THANKYOU to all my followers, visitors and those of you who regularly leave comments. You all know as well as I do how much it means when people find your blog interesting enough to visit and especially let you know they have done so by commenting, so thanks again! Forgive me if I fail to blog or leave comments for you as often as normal, I am sure that in a few weeks when I return from my eagerly awaited holiday I will be refreshed and raring to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please remember to take a long breath and some breaks as well! Seems that you have enough on your mind for the time beeing.
It's always nice to see some of the earlier work, I haven't been follower for a very long time and for me it's nice to se all of your work.
Take care and good luck with all your tasks!
Lots of hugs from Marianne
Hi Sue, I know exactly what you mean! I too struggle to find the time to blog sometimes, but it's the same for most people I would think, and we shouldn't feel guilty when real life gets in the way. The virtual world can always wait a while!
Look at it this way. If we blog a bit less often, it takes the pressure off everyone else who would have to keep up with it otherwise! And good things are always worth waiting for! I love your serendipity frame. I've been meaning to do something similar for ages (when I get round to it!)
Hope you have a lovely holiday and come back rested and refreshed. x
Sue, you've managed to articulate the struggles I feel sometimes about blogging too - why do I let it be a pressure...we're not performing puppies after all!
It is unfortunate but true - TIME waits for no man!
Wishing you the most out of every day that you can possibly get! (but don't exhaust yourself!)
A big hug! x x
Sue, I too know just how you feel but life comes first - especially when you have your darling Josh.
I love the serendipity piece you've blogged. It would make a lovely wedding present. Your C&G piece is stunning too.
Enjoy your holiday
Sue, have a nice break, I love your blog. See you soooooon.
Your work is beautiful! I'm glad you stopped by my blog and signed on as a follower because otherwise I'd never have known about yours! I'll be back! You've inspired me to do something with my "inchies" again!
Thank you!
Diane
Awww you sound so pressured, I hope your rest helps you feel better and more relaxed. I totally agree with you Sue, blogging and the crafty stuff should always come after family, nothing is more precious, enjoy your loved ones and take it easy ((((hugs))))) XXX
Both beautiful pieces - don't worry about non-blogging at busy times - the blog's for YOU and it's nice if others enjoy it but it's for pleasure not pressure.

I hope you have a good break Sue, enjoy your time with your family and getting round to all those other things - sounds like you're going to be very busy! I look forward to catching up with you when you return...
Hi Sue. Lovely items from your archive.
I've just been on holiday and made the decision while I was away to cut back on my computer time too.
I love blogging and hopping but it is time consuming and leaves little time for creating I find.
I don't think any of us should feel pressure to blog and leave comments. It should be a joy not a chore.
Life is more important.
Have a lovely break.

I know what you mean...silly don't you think. I too worry about things like that. I hope you enjoy your break and I look forward to hearing from you soon and of course seeing more crafty stuff!

Hi Sue, take care of yourself! Miss you!

Oh my goodness, no, it's not just you. I find it a little stressful, and pretty much impossible to comment everyone- if I did, I'd never leave my computer! Look how long it took me to get here, this post was from the beginning of the month! lol
I try to do the best I can, and that's all any of us can do. Every time I come here, you impress the hell out of me- I'll just say that. You are one talented lady and I really enjoy admiring your creations! Stay well my friend...xOxO deb

Think, as women we all have those guilt things going on. Take some time to be selfish, just do the things that you want to do, and I hope I haven't added to your list too much bty tagging you. See my blog for details...
Hey Sue, just wishing you and yours a Happy Easter! Missing you!
Hugz, Z
nothing wrong with dragging up old favourites... some of us didnt see them first time round. they are lovely... love the serendipity frame.
dump the guilt.. bloging and crafting was a choice you made for YOU not for anyone else. so do it when you want to and can... dont do it when you dont want to are cant. dont even think twice about it (from the woman who vanished for a whole year and felt no guilt LOL )
