Mothers Day, 'busy as ever'

Yesterday was as always a busy day! Paul has had a couple of days off at last and decided to rip out the cupboard in the bathroom, and as it went from floor to ceiling made a bit of mess! Then, he decided to rip out the floor to ceiling panels around the bath, which left a lovely few holes in the ceiling so yeah, you guessed, down came the ceiling, and a new one went up along with a change of lighting. He had some time left, so removed the old shower and plumbing that had been left from when the combi boiler was fitted, giving us a good start for when the bathroom suite arrives, 'when' being the operative word!!!!!!!! We ordered it on Christmas Eve and was told it would be two weeks. It's annoying that they have had payment all that time, but we really love the suite, so hopefully it will be worth the wait.....................

The evening was spent at Faye's with Faye, Gina Ash and Steve for a Pizza Hut takeaway, followed by apple pie and custard, my request, and it was lovely. They got me an ipod, in preparation for my walking stints, when I get time, lol!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and a box of chocolates, mmmmmmmm........................ Thanks girls xxxx

Right, back to crafting....................

I finally put the bits together in between labouring for Paul yesterday. Here's one heart, close up,

and another,

and the final one.

This is the completed card. I didn't use all the elements as it just made it too 'busy'. It is a strange colour combination, I know, but I am really trying to get away from my usual grungy colours, not easy, but it's a bit more of a challenge for me.
We have the trainer from Hearing Dog's for Deaf People coming to check on Disney, alias 'Mr D' today. She'll get a shock to see him without his 8" covering of fur. Catch ya later!!!!!

Love what you've done with all your bits and bobs to create the colourful card - funny that because I started something this weekend that isn't me either, it's got pink in it - yeah that is correct, pink!!!

And why shouldn't you have apple pie and custard, after all, it was mothers day xxxxx

The card is absolutely beautiful - all my fave colours on one card. Would love to have your talent! Polly xx

Lovely textures and design, not too 'un'grungy despite the colours.
