Ten Second Studio and Scrapbooking Day

TEN SECOND STUDIO
We had a fantastic 'Ten Seconds Studio' retailer training day with Linda Brown of LB Crafts a couple of weeks ago. After seeing samples of Ten Second Studio metal embossing by Leandra Franiche (Paper Artsy)and Lynn Robinson Hunter (Elusive Images) during our famous demo days,we decided to go off to Olney to try it for ourselves. We were totally taken aback by the fantastic samples we made and just amazed at how simple it was. It is so versatile. You can use it in so many ways. Due to the amount of interest it has caused in the shop, we have arranged for Linda herself to visit Paradise Studio on 25th August and give us all a demo to show how easy it is! We will send details of exactly what the day will consist of as soon as it's confirmed. It will certainly be a good day as Linda is a very talented lady, and is so nice with it! We are so lucky to be able to get such talented crafters to the area.

SCRAPBOOKING DAY
Yesterday saw the return of scrapbooking classes at Paradise Studio. It's been years since I've done any scrapbooking as to be quite honest I've not had the time, so I was unsure how it would go. It was a beginners class so I kept the layouts simple but used lots of techniques and embellishments as we went along including tearing, chalking, stamping, tags, acetate overlays, titles, brads, flowers, fold outs and mini books. We had a fantastic day full of fun and laughter and completed some pleasing pages, although the class ran well over time as usual. We were all amazed at how different the layouts looked just by changing the colour scheme. Hopefully I will have given inspiration to use the left over pages of the punch out and paper pad (and there were plenty of them) to continue with the hobby at home.

Helena has posted the layouts on the forum, so for any of you who were on the class and need to look at the layouts again, please check them out. Why not post some of your own designs and layouts too, we would love to see them!

Anyway gotta go, busy busy busy!!!!!!!
