We had a truly fantastic turn out for our dabble day, and I must say that the quality, choice and designs of the projects available were absolutely stunning. Once again, I have my 'little helpers' to thank for that. They have all worked so tirelessly, and given so much of their time to raise funds for the 'Pink Rose Appeal'. Most of you know who they are, but for the records, we had;
Maureen (alias MO-JO) made some beautiful cards using various Basic Grey scrapbook papers, Crafty Individuals rubber stamps, computer generated words, gems and stickles. Maureen also donated a box of the cards for the auction night, which was so good of her. Cheers Mo- J0!!!!!
Bonnie, or Bonnie-Boo as we call her, created wonderful parchment craft book marks, and was amazed at the amount of interest in shown at her table. The thing is, she produces such quality work and her parchment craft designs are brilliant. Parchment craft is certainly showing signs of a revival, even I'm getting into it again! I just need to retire now so I can take it up as a hobby.
Norma decided to base her cards on 'folding techniqes and offered a 'pop-up' card for the morning sessions and a folded 'tag book' for the afternoon. At first glance these looked quite complicated, but cool, calm Norma found it a breeze to guide everyone through the steps methodically, so they all went home with a finished card. The two sided wedding papers she chose looked beautiful and would work for many occasions.
Helena very kindly stood in at the last minute to run the ATC table for us. She used a brilliant background technique, made by randomly sticking old text sheets onto the ATC blank, ripping it off to leave it looking distressed then colouring it with inks. Crafty Individuals images, lace,and rubber stamping was then used to complete the project. Helena had to leave Steve (her husband and the absolute BRAINS behind our wonderful website) looking after the children for the day. So what? you might say, but considering he has just been in hospital himself and little Amy has just come down with chickenpox, I think he deserves a pat on the back too!
Finally, we couldn't have managed without our wonderful 'tea lady', alias 'Krazy Kerry'. She kept us all fed and watered, promoted our name cards and left the kitchen free from dirty cups which saved me so much time. Cheers mate, I owe you one!
Again, it was afantastic day, THANKS EVERYONE!

Pink Rose Appeal Auction.
We all had a great time at the long awaited auction at Littlefields the room being kindly donated for the night by Steph, (thanks Steph). Lots of us bought things and gave willingly for this much needed appeal, which has now reached its target.
I was pipped for the ATC's by Linda Brown AND the shirt donated by Tim holtz by Kate and Barbara, who, while I remember, donated a full day of crafting for 2 people in their craft cabin to the auction, and I forgot to mention them in my list of thankyou's. So I will do it now, thanks both of you, it was a lovely gesture which might I add made £65 for the appeal! Well done on winning the bid to Joan and Pam, who I am sure will have some tales to tell after the event, especially if they down the champagne donated by Ian to help the day along. (Oh to be a fly on the wall).
As most of you know we raised atotal of £1602, so thanks again to all of you. PS CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS FROM BOTH OF THE EVENT ON OUR WEBSITE, THEY ARE BRILLIANT!!

Well done to everyone involved, especially you and Paul, I know how much hard work you have put into it all and please please please don't be scaring us all with talk of retiring lol
Hi Sue,
A BIG thank you, for yourself and Paul is also required. Without the two of you working so hard everyone would of missed out on some fab demo days and workshops. Who could forget the brillant "Mr Rusty Pickle", Leandra Franich, Helene Lax, Jean Hardy and more recently Lynne Robinson Hunter.
SO THANK YOU PAUL AND SUE : )
I know for myself personally the chance to meet these Crafters would of been next to none.
I love the classes that you yourself hold Sue, they are always so much fun, and a learning experience.
See ya soon
Helena
